National efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and transition to a clean energy economy are front and center for the 111th Congress. Energy efficiency is widely recognized as a cost-effective tool for achieving these objectives. California has, and continues to pursue, innovative approaches to accelerating the adoption of energy efficient technologies into the marketplace. It is timely to share and understand California’s experiences as Congress and other States consider energy efficiency and climate legislation.

The UC Davis Energy Efficiency Center (UC Davis EEC) serves as a nexus for a wide array of stakeholders in the energy efficiency sector. Senior-level representatives from the public and private sectors serving on the UC Davis EEC Board of Advisors will provide various perspectives regarding California’s experiences and programs.
